Committees are groups of members who work together in pursuit of a specific outcome or goal, or who organize for a specific interest or activity. There are two kinds of committees: Standing Committees, which are permanent features of a lodge, and Special Committees, which exist for as long as they need to. Committees can have just about any function behind them, whether it’s administrative, social, charitable, or other. When you join an Odd Fellows lodge, you can join any preexisting committee, or propose the creation of a new one.

Here are the current committees of Rocky Mountain Lodge No. 2:

Standing Committees

Financial

The Financial Committee is responsible for lodge finances. Members for this committee are appointed by the Noble Grand.

Interview

The Interview Committee is a standing committee that interviews prospective members.

Visiting

The Visiting Committee is a standing committee responsible for visiting sick or ailing members and provides chaplaincy services.

Special Committees

History

The history committee researches, archives, and displays the history of our lodge and Colorado Odd Fellowship.

Lodge Cleanup

This is a committee dedicated to cleaning, organizing, and redecorating the lodge. It’s about time!

Scholarship

The scholarship committee is responsible for processing and distributing scholarships to members or family of members.

Website

The Website Committee is responsible for the creation and maintenance of our website.
