What is the Independent Order of Odd Fellows?
The Independent Order of Odd Fellows is a fraternal order. It emerged hundreds of years ago as a way for people to provide each other with connections, social services, security, welfare, and human development back in a time when charities, businesses, and governments did not. Many benefits developed in the 20th century, such as Social Security, were modeled after older I.O.O.F. member-programs.
Today, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows aims to provide a framework that promotes personal and social development.
